“My mission is to support & empower mamas with the knowledge they need to nourish themselves and their families so they can thrive.”

Hi, I’m Mel.

I am a mama to two little boys Luca and Arlo.

In my first pregnancy, I found that I was not told anywhere near enough information on how to support a healthy pregnancy and growing baby. During the postpartum period, I never realised the power of nourishing foods and support women needed to not only survive but thrive. I also found so much misinformation out there with how to go about starting solids and spent so much time trying to work out how to give my little boy the best start in life. This led me to wanting to learn more for myself and to support other overwhelmed mamas on this journey. I found my true passion and decided to undertake an infant nutrition course then further my studies with Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition to become a Holistic Nutrition Consultant for pregnancy, postpartum and babies.

It wasn’t until my second postpartum that I really struggled. Looking after a toddler, a newborn, myself and trying to get simple tasks done has all been extremely hard. I hadn’t prepared for my postpartum like I had planned as my son decided to shock us and come 5 weeks early. This overwhelming experience led me down the path of wanting to support other mamas and help them build their village. I decided to further my training in the postpartum education and care field with Newborn Mothers to become a postpartum doula.

My mission is to support and empower mamas with the knowledge they need to nourish themselves and their families so that they can thrive. Nutrition is so powerful during these stages of life and can have a huge impact on how we feel, grow, develop and our health in the future. I follow a wholefoods first approach, combining evidence-based information with traditional wisdom to support women throughout these stages of motherhood.

I am based in the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney and am available to support women online or local mamas either in person or online. I would also love to support partners, family and friends who want to know more about how they can support mama on this journey.
