Nutrient-dense spaghetti bolognaise

This pasta sauce is high in iron, collagen, gelatin, protein and full of veggies. It is a family favourite of ours that is so easy and delicious that I thought I should share it with you.

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams grass-fed beef mince

  • 400 grams can of organic lentils or pre-soaked dry lentils

  • 1 onion

  • 500 grams mushrooms

  • few garlic cloves

  • 2 carrots

  • 2 zucchini’s

  • jar of passata

  • 1 cup bone broth

  • few tablespoons of grated frozen liver or liver powder

  • herbs of choice

Method:
Fry the onion and garlic in a little olive oil. Add the beef to brown then add mushrooms and other veggies. Add passata, bone broth, liver and lentils. Mix together and simmer for a while. Add any extra herbs you would like and serve with pasta of choice and some Parmesan cheese.

This makes a big batch so I cook 2 packets of pasta and save plenty for later (approx. 8 adult portions or 6 adult and 3 toddler portions as I’m sure they will want to eat a lot). Enjoy ♥︎
